Call for Proposals - BOOM-CHIX-A-BOOM #13
La Centrale is proud to offer, once again, an alternative way to participate in the frenzy of the summer sidewalk sale on boulevard Saint-Laurent.
We are seeking alternative artisans, crafters, artists and performers to participate:
Renting tables/selling stuff
As usual, we’re giving you the possibility to infiltrate the Saint-Laurent Sidewalk Sale at a very affordable price. Our Boom Bazaar hosts about 10 tables per day in front of the gallery. Each table is approximately 3’X3’ and is available for a small fee of 15$/day (10$ for our members). Places are limited, so reserve your spot quickly: make sure you take full advantage of these high traffic days on the Main!
Interventions/actions/
performances/music
Throughout the three days, La Centrale will also offer the space in front of, or around, the gallery for you to present actions/interventions and performances (without artist fee). Interactive projects are encouraged (the street being closed to car trafic) as the sidewalk sale offers a new and diversified audience. Technical support will be provided if needed. Please fill in form - downloadable here - where you must give a brief description of your proposition and specify your technical requirements. Please note that only acoustic music projects will be allowed.
Workshops
Propositions for workshops of all sorts are also welcome. In the past, we have hosted drawing, silk-screen, plush objects and stencil-art workshops. We will provide at no charge tables and chairs, as well as necessary basic tools (scissors, X-acto knives, tape, etc.). These must also take place outside.

It is recommended to reserve your tables by phone asap, since reservations are made on a first come, first served basis.
