NOÉMI MCCOMBER
« Every one’s best day lasts forever » (wish no. 22), « Mystic marriage » (wish no. 46), « To be normal » (wish no. 7), « I wish I could sprint forever without getting tired » (wish no. 47), « The nobel prize in physics » (wish no. 11) 50 wishes is a participative and performative intervention initiated during the Take my breath away exhibition at La Centrale from November 2006 to January 2007. Visitors to the gallery were invited to write their greatest wish on postcards distributed by the artist, who then depicted the realisation of each wish through a series of 50 drawings. The entire project will be presented at La Centrale from March 28th to 30th, before the wishes are sent to all participants, including the collection of 50 drawings, the wish cards, the 50 envelopes designed to contain each drawing and the intervention on the gallery floor.
