CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS – EXHIBITION PROJECTS
2020-2021 REGULAR PROGRAMMING

La Centrale Galerie Powerhouse is a platform for contemporary feminist art practices that engage in intersectional, intercultural and multidisciplinary methods of working.

The centre welcomes submissions by self-identified under-represented artists working in dialogue with issues of gender equality and social justice. La Centrale is an artist-run non-hierarchical organization. As such, the programming is selected and built by a committee composed of active members.

The Centrale invites artists and curators of all levels of their career to submit exhibition projects related to the mandate of the center. The Centrale offers the possibility of submitting project for the regular programming 2020-2021. The duration of the exhibitions is 5 weeks and the artists and curators will receive a artist/curator fees. La Centrale offer a financial support for artists living outside Montreal.

SUBMISSION SHOULD INCLUDE:
- A curriculum vitæ
- A project description (500 words or less)
- An artist statement
- A description of the technical requirements of your project
- A short text (max.150 words) that identify why your project relates to La Centrale's mandate

DOCUMENTATION FOR YOUR PROPOSAL:
- Images of your artwork (15 to 20 digital photos)
- For video please send a link (vimeo or youtube) or an mp4 format. (Max 10min)
- A list describing all your documentation (title, media, dimensions of work and year of production)

NOTE:
Please observe the following guidelines for your digital documents
- All documents should be compatible with MacIntosh OS 10.4 and OS 10.5
- The documents must be identified in the following form: Name of the artist_NOV_2019
- The images will have to be identified in the following form: Name of the Artist_Image1of20_Title
- Suggested jpeg format for images not exceeding 1 MB or 1024 x 768 pixels

Please send your submissions via WeTransfer to the following address: dossier@lacentrale.org with the subject of the e-mail Exhibition 2020-2021. You will receive a confirmation email from WeTransfer when your file is uploaded.
