Exciting changes are happening at La Centrale!
It is with mixed emotions that we announce Julia Piccolo and My-Van Dam’s departure from La Centrale.
During their tenure as General Co-directors, Julia and My-Van were integral to the development of La Centrale’s artistic and organizational vision. With full hearts, we give thanks to Julia and My-Van for their dedication to imagining and nourishing a more sustainable future for the centre. There is no doubt that Julia and My-Van's impact on La Centrale will be felt for years to come. We wish them both success in their future endeavors.
While we are sad to say goodbye to two dear members of our team, we are excited to welcome this new period of transition. Stay tuned for our two next job offers!

My-Van Dam is a member of the collective CODE BLANC with Stanley Février and Maryam Izadifard. She is also a multidisciplinary artist based in Tiohtiá: ke / Mooniyang / Montreal. Her artistic practice focuses on the transmission of intergenerational trauma, memory and healing. She is particularly interested in the effects of traumatic events on our collective and individual memory and the ways in which trauma impacts our physical and psychological health, relationships and identity. Dam has presented her work at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Musée d'art Actuel/Department of Invisibles (MAADI), the Fondation Rad Hourani, Place-des-arts de Montréal, Projet Casa Gallery, the Festival Art Souterrain and ArtHelix Gallery in New York . www.myvandam.com

A graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Nantes and the EHESS (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales), Julia Piccolo works from the links that unite textiles, decorative art, architecture and the digital in her artistic and research work. Her artistic practice is multidisciplinary, weaving together the histories of art and architecture as well as media theory and feminist thought. www.juliapiccolo.com
