PETIT GUIDE D'ASSEMBLAGE
JACINTHE LESSARD
Exposition: 17 au 28 mai 2006
Vernisage: 18 Mai 2006 - 17:00
PETIT GUIDE D'ASSEMBLAGE is an exhibition of photographs, a video work, and installations with changing geometric patterns. The work conceived by Jacinthe Lessard-L. addresses issues connected to the aesthetics of contemporary dwelling spaces, notions of home and mediation in our everyday life. At stake is an attempt to question individuality within images of interior scenes and with the dismantled pieces of modular furniture. Usually, these kits are assembled in a predetermined way; here is a place for people to try otherwise. Jacinthe Lessard-L is an interdisciplinary artist based in Montreal. She is currently completing her M.F.A. at Concordia University. Her work addresses issues connected to the aesthetics of contemporary dwelling spaces, as well as notions of home and mediation in our everyday lives. Her projects span various media, including video, photography, installation, and performative actions. Her work has been shown in many exhibitions across Quebec.
