La Centrale is actively seeking individuals involved in the cultural and artistic community of Tiohtià:ke/Montreal to join our programming committee! We are looking for members who demonstrate a strong interest in: community-oriented, engaged, feminist and intersectional art; multidisciplinary, experimental, emerging, and/or established artistic practices; and dialogues between art and social justice. The programming committee represents a two-year mandate, perfect for those who wish to witness the fruits of their contribution to our programming.
Members who wish to apply for a position on the committee must be present at our AGA, held (POSTPONED, date TBD) on October 1st, 2025 from 6-8:30 pm at L'Euguélionne, feminist bookstore. On the menu, snacks, refreshments and books!
Our mandate
La Centrale is an artist-run centre dedicated to the dissemination and development of multidisciplinary feminist practices. We are committed to supporting artists at different stages of their careers who are underrepresented in mainstream cultural institutions. With fifty years of history, La Centrale has been built on endurance and learning. The pillars of our practice lie within the (de)construction of our own systems and values, intersectional art, evolution through feminisms, and social engagement.
About the programming committee
This year, in collaboration with our co-executive director & programming, the programming committee selected the artists exhibiting in our 2025-2027 regular programming and our 2025-2026 window exhibitions. The committee also contributed to the conception of our current call for performances, Relational Tensions, ongoing until October 20, 2025.
The new 2025-2026 programming committee will meet several times throughout the year to review submissions for our ongoing calls for proposals. The committee will be divided into subgroups based on the proposed projects (e.g., gallery exhibitions, window displays, and performance projects). In addition to their decision-making role, committee members may be involved in other programming initiatives, such as helping to organize our annual member festival.

In order to be considered eligible for the programming committee, candidates must be members of La Centrale.
